Our Farm

Welcome to Shady Oaks, home to the Armstrong family.  Since buying our first mini in 1987, after Lisa's dad encouraged them to check out the minis, we have been raising minis ever since. Both of us have been raised with horses all of our lives and the minis were a great expansion to our farm. For over 20 years now, we have bred and raised numerous miniature horses that have been sold all over the  US. Shady Oaks is also home to several Quarter Horses, Paints and beef cattle.  Both Anthony and son Cody team rope. Nothing can compare to the miniature horses though. Minis are just fascinating and make excellent pets and are so cute to watch play.  You become mesmerized by them sometimes!  Shady Oaks offers miniature horses for sale at all times, so please give them a call or check the website to see what's available.  Prices start at just $500.  Our farm is located about 5 miles from I-85 and about 20 miles from I-77 and I-40.  (central North Carolina) We welcome anyone wanting to see our little horses.
